Welcome to the unofficialhomepage for the Columbus Fire Department, as well as several other Central Ohio departments. This site was established in 1997 as a hobby, but has recieved some posetive feedback and recognition awards from across the country, so the site's staff, expanded to three, and now five, decided to keep investing time into the project. This website also has several cousin sites, two of which are the unofficial homes of the Youngstown Fire Department, and Youngstown Fire Department (two different links), which is thought to have been the first fully mobilized fire department in the country.
The site contains information on the Columbus Fire Division, many suburban departments, and is broken down on a station by station basis. The departments in the area are continually putting new equipment in service, and it is sometimes difficult to keep track of which brass tag is where, but I try very hard to keep close tabs on new deliveries. All in all, the actual units, that is to say engines, medics, rescues, etc.., are all mostly up to date.

The investigation continues into the fatal 3-3-3 alarm on E. 17th Ave on the OSU campus. Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien has stated not enough evidence exists against Robert Patterson, and the charges have been dismissed. The investigation is continuing. pic1 pic2 pic3 pic4 pic5 pic6
